CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Freddie showed why he is a co-track record holder Thursday evening as he went down the road in the Open Trot as part of a five-bagger for the ‘King Of Island Racing’ at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Marc Campbell steered his trainee from post 3 in the $2,400 Open trot as Freddie took control of the tempo past the quarter pole and lead at every station before opening up to win by two-lengths in 1:57.4 over Glider Man (Driven by David Dowling) while Cheeky Little Mix (Gilles Barrieau) completed the triactor. The leading driver at the Capital oval the past 11 seasons, Campbell also trains the Majestic Son trotter for owner Three Wisemen Stable of Kingston.
