Changes to Conditions for Joe O’Brien and Ladyslipper Stakes
Charlottetown, PE – The PEIHRIA has approved changes to the conditions for the Joe O’Brien and Ladyslipper Stakes. These are in effect for foals of 2015 and beyond. Significant changes for Ladyslipper include a definition of the term “Resident” as well as a requirement to file a signed affadavit verifying dam residency ( for foals of 2016 and beyond, this is to be submitted to the PEIHRIA by December 1st of the foaling year or the entry will not be accepted). The eligibility requirements for the Joe O’Brien have been changed to include conditions similar to the Ladyslipper (personal residency or mare residency). IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT HORSEPERSONS MAKE THEMSELVES FAMILIAR WITH THE CHANGES TO ENSURE THEIR ENTRIES ARE ACCEPTABLE.
